On Zero CEO Freesia Gaul was once a teenager growing up between Australia and Canada. Attending 13 different schools was a formative part of her interest in the internet as a stable source of information and self-education. Many of the small towns she lived in had limited educational resources which made internet access to educational materials more important than ever. Because she moved so much virtual reality became a vital part of her social life.
She dreamed of one day creating a device to type in the air. Then she realized the hardware to make her dream come true could be made with her own hands!

In 2018, she discovered MIT OpenCourseWare, part of MIT Open Learning. This was a catalyst for years of building, inventing and 3D printing. Eventually her hunger for information took her through courses on linear algebras, circuits, electronic, quantum physics. She truly became a self proclaimed "serial learner".
This mixture of a hunger for knowledge, bedazzlement of technology and appreciation for always thinking forward lead to her co-found tech startup On Zero.
There is a soon to launch Kickstarter project related to their first product: Ergonomic haptic and gesture-tracking gloves for XR.
